RATB

Bucharest is unusual in not having a fleet of foreign trams. The only type we saw were these V3As. We also saw a lot of track reconstruction with some routes partially closed.

Due to the extensive works on the Bucharest infrastructure, many tram routes have been cut out and in the most of the city there are only V3A's one can see, while the other types still can be seen in some parts of the city.
V3A are the only trams that have been modernised and they are the largest trams, hence they are the mostly used on the main routes.

It is not true that Bucharest has no foreign trams. It still has Tatra T4R and there were also Düwag L (ex Frankfurt/Main) and Rathgeber M4, M5 and P (ex München). The last german trams in Bucharest were withdrawn from service in the spring of 2007.
